STEP 1: Trace your graffiti tag. If you used a marker you will probably forecast the Graffiti Tag if you put a notepad about it . So the first task could it be in order to the edges of the lines using a pencil. But leave a small amount of space between your edge in the marker as well as your new pencil line. So the letter gets bigger. The result may need to look much like the image shown below. Not that bad actually, but you want to improve.

STEP 2: Improve the graffiti. The form with the whole Graffiti is vital as well . The “E” from the outset is bigger as opposed to “R” in the end . So I thought we would make it smaller and add arrows on both sides to help it become a concise form.(red) I also added serifs or made them more technical .(blue circles). In typography, a serif is the small extra stroke bought at the end of the main vertical and horizontal strokes of some letters. In Graffiti you frequently make use of them to cause you to Piece more technical . I also added forms which help the dynamic with the graffiti and help it become more complicated.

The result looks such as the image below. This step usually implies a lot of trials and errors and takes a while . So don’t be sad in the event the Graffiti immediately won`t look like you wish to . Even should you are practised to draw in Graffiti, this step will take some time and intensive use from the eraser.

STEP 3: Redraw the lines using a fineliner. The next step is much easier . Take your Copic Markers Multiliner 0.5 or a Fineliner pen and redraw your pencil lines. Wait a little while afterwards to let along with dry and then erase each of the pencil lines. The result will want to look like this.

A cheap printer with copy function like Canon PIXMA MG3620 or perhaps a similar product should do the work . I use a previous version with this printer series and it works well but there are several others which work quite similar.

STEP 4: Color your graffiti piece. To make the coloring more complicated , I recommend one to always draw gradients. In this case i colored the complete Graffiti Piece a single big gradient. If you wish to make your piece to check even more technical , you`ll have to include a different gradient to every one letter. The Copic Ciao markers are incredibly good for drawing gradients. I have not achieved it with another marker yet.

Which color scheme to pick ? In general I recommend that you use complementary colors for – foreground and background – or – fill-ins and shadows. If you would like to use more colors, you need to use colors through the color shade of one from the 2 colors or near to them on the color wheel. You can also just find a Graffiti within our blog or on Google Image search and copy along with scheme. If you are a beginner, this method might fit well.

STEP 5: Drawing the shadows Choose a point below the Graffiti where every one of the shadow blocks lead to . Like shown within the photo below. Now choose how large the blocks needs to be . I took 1,5cm (1/2 inches) as length in cases like this .

Now take a ruler and tap into every corner in the Graffiti a single .5cm (1/2 inches) long line for the chosen point. Then, connect the lines parallel towards the Graffiti outline. The results are blocks, which you`ll want to fill with color.

Fill the Blocks with black. If you want more complicated shadows you can contribute fake light spots with brighter areas within the middle transitioning to dark areas around the outside like done in the example.

STEP 6: Second outline and background The term “Second outline” describes the fishing line around the whole Graffiti. In this case I choose the complementary color to orange – blue. As an identification I added bubbles and drips in the same color.

STEP 7: Optionally add highlights, your name-tag and 4 seasons of creation The gradient as Fill-In maybe is simply too boring or seems not complex enough. So you can additional add lines and shapes across the Fill-In. Common shapes are bubbles, rectangles, arrows, refelections or outlines of shapes. Usually they`re colored inside a darker color shade from the color below of them . They can even be added to the background.

To complete your artwork, add your Name-Tag and 4 seasons of creation. If you are or will be a part of a crew, then include the abbreviation of your crew.

How I started to attract graffiti. Starting-out is always difficult. This is why I want to explain how I made it happen . My first Graffiti was “Limp Bizkit” through the album cover from “Significant other”. Do you know it? I loved this guitar rock band but still love em and decided to attract it as it impressed me. I was lucky and was quite pleased with my first drawing.

So this really is my first job for you is: 1. have a pencil 2. have a small note 3. experience an eraser 4. find a Graffiti you prefer with Google Image Search, where you can simply identify the letters. For Instance “simple style Graffiti” could possibly be used as being a key word . 5. and draw it!

Maybe you may need a handful of tries at the start . This is nothing to be worried about . Noone is a professional immediately . So practice, practice, practice, practice! I know you will make it!

In the first part I will speak about how I started and give you the first hint steps to start out. The second part can be a tutorial, that`s split into two parts. The first part has the steps for your first Graffiti Tag. The second an example may be about transforming the Graffiti Tag in to a Graffiti Piece. Let’s go!

Draw a tag. After you have done the first Graffiti, go to our Collection of Graffiti Letters. Think about a name you need to use as a sprayer. No ideas yet? Just begin with your real name! I provide several designs for each and every letter. You can search for letters by simply clicking on the buttons on the top . Create your first Graffiti Tag this way . So detail by detail : 1. get a marker now ; not only a pencil; Tags look way better if you use the proper marker – I used a Edding 500 Marker to the example Tag below. The Grog Cutter 08 XFP – Death Black is a very good marker as well and way cheaper . 2. obtain a sheet of paper 3. Go to our assortment of Graffiti Letters 4. Search for your letters for your name Example. I choose the phrase “Ether”. 5. You can optionally add drips, arrows and big serifs as highlights to your Tag like I did.

How to draw graffiti: the first graffiti piece in 7 steps : You have redrawn a Graffiti? You have created a Tag? Nice! So let’s move on !. Graffiti Pieces have become complex. To start out , I would recommend you to definitely take your tag and transform it into a Graffiti Piece. Every Graffiti Piece includes these parts: 1. The Fill-In: colored areas 2. the outline: colored or black line round the fill-ins 3. a 3D-shadow 4. a background 5. a second outline throughout the whole piece 6. optionally: the tag name of the sprayer 7. optionally: highlights 8. optionally: the entire year of creation.

I use these materials: 1. regular notepad – e.g.: printing paper 2. soft uncolored eraser 3. pencil with 2B mine hardness 4. Fine Liners for Highlights and small areas 5. Copic Markers Multiliner 0.5 for outlines 6. At least a basis pair of Copic Ciao markers for Fill-ins. I have the big list of Copic Ciao markers markers!. So, let’s dive straight to it:
